Budja Board and Management are pleased to announce that Stage 1 of our new Clinic Extension is now open and operating five days a week – Monday to Friday.
The extension was made possible through a grant from the Victorian Government’s Minister for Aboriginal Affairs.
Our clinic is the only primary health care service in Halls Gap and offers bulk billed (to those with a Medicare Card) GP services, nurse-based and allied health services to our Aboriginal Community, residents across Ararat rural city and Northern Grampians and visitors to Gariwerd National Park.
Our service is very much appreciated by all and attracts patients from Stawell, Ararat, local Gariwerd and surrounding population and tourists.
The funding has allowed for a more contemporary clinic layout. It has two GP consultation rooms, two treatment rooms, staff offices, increased patient waiting area and with ambulance and disabled patient access. The existing 80 year old clinic house will also be upgraded so that Budja can continue to provide quality and further expansion of service, including for Social and Emotional Wellbeing.
Services are now available 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5 pm and ring Budja Medical Reception on 5356 4751 for an appointment.
