Overview
The Health Promotion Officer is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion initiatives across the clinical, health services and wellbeing teams within Budja Budja. The role includes the Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) portfolio.
The role is based at both Halls Gap and Ararat, with regular travel between both sites as required by service needs.
About you
You will have knowledge and understanding of health and wellbeing issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people; demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities; and demonstrated experience in health promotion, community engagement or public health.
Qualifications in Health Promotion, Social Work, Public Health, Aboriginal Health, Community Services, or related fields are desirable.
