Social, emotional and wellbeing services

The Tulku Wan SEWB Team provide a range of services to support wellbeing

Tulku Wan translates to “Good, am I” and the aim of our team is to support our mob to feel good. Together, we can help you understand any personal or emotional worries and help you achieve the things that you would like to do. All services are provided confidentially and in a culturally safe manner and are self-determined by you. Feel free to call or chat with us whenever you like. Call us on: 03 5356 4751. Our Tulku Wan SEWB door is always open.

Counselling Services

Our psychologist and SEWB counsellors can provide counselling in many forms. This might look like a casual yarn, sitting on country with a cuppa, or yarning in one of Budja’s confidential and culturally safe spaces. Counsellors assess individual issues, needs, and priorities, and help you to create strategies for change. The goal is to create and improve an overall sense of wellbeing. All services are trauma-informed and are provided in a culturally aware and safe environment, with consultations held in strict confidence. Counselling can be brief or long-term, as determined between you and your counsellor.

Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) Support

Our AOD worker provides individual support, case management and brief counselling to those that want support with their substance use. All services are provided in a culturally aware, confidential, and safe environment.

The program can offer immediate support to reduce risk and help people achieve safety, whilst also providing ongoing case management to support people to remain safe.

We acknowledge Gariwerd is a special, spiritual place for Aboriginal people, for dreaming stories and the abundance of food, water and shelter it provides. We acknowledge Djab Wurrung and Jarwadjali continued living culture and we give respect to Elders, past and present.
