Social & Emotional Wellbeing Yarns: Understanding Unhelpful Thinking
Join Julie, Budja Budja’s Social and Emotional Wellbeing Psychologist, for a welcoming group where you’ll have the opportunity to yarn, reflect and explore topics that support emotional wellbeing in a safe and respectful space.
Each week focuses on a different topic, with plenty of time for conversation, learning and sharing if you feel comfortable. Whether you’re simply curious or looking for new ways to understand yourself, you’re welcome to come along.
This week’s session: Understanding Unhelpful Thinking
Sometimes our minds can get stuck in patterns that make situations feel bigger, harder or more overwhelming than they really are.
In this session, we’ll explore common thinking patterns, sometimes called cognitive distortions, and how they can influence our emotions, relationships and confidence. Together, we’ll yarn about ways to recognise these patterns and begin responding to them with greater awareness and self-compassion.
Please let Julie know the day before if you’d like to attend by calling (03) 5356 4751.
